Metal roofing for a roof you will not think about for decades

Straight Arrow Roofing & Siding installs metal roofs and cosmetic metal capping in Brantford, Hamilton, Burlington, Oakville, Milton, Cambridge and Paris. A metal roof can last many decades with care, reflects the sun's heat, is fully recyclable and works well under solar panels. It costs more than asphalt shingles up front, so we help you decide whether it pays back on your house.

Is a metal roof better than shingles?

For some houses, yes. For others, a good shingle roof is the better value. This is how they compare in plain terms, without inventing numbers for your house:

What is cosmetic metal capping?

Capping wraps exposed wood, such as fascia boards, window frames and trim, in formed metal. It stops the wood from rotting and ends the job of repainting it. We often do it with eavestroughs, soffit and fascia work.

Do you need a permit for a metal roof?

Often, yes, because metal is a different material from the shingles it replaces. Hamilton requires a permit for "replacing roofing or exterior cladding with a different material".[1] Oakville lists solar panels among work that needs a permit.[2] See the roof permit guide for each city.

Where do we do metal roofing?

Across our whole area: Brantford, Paris and the County of Brant, Hamilton, Ancaster, Dundas and Waterdown, Burlington, Oakville, Milton, Cambridge.
